About CASS Madras Chapter

The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Madras Chapter is one of the active technical chapters under the IEEE Madras Section, dedicated to advancing the theory, analysis, design, and practical implementation of circuits and systems.

The Chapter serves as a vibrant platform for researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students to exchange knowledge, foster innovation, and contribute to technological advancements in the field of electronics and integrated systems.

The Chapter actively promotes emerging areas such as VLSI design, semiconductor technologies, embedded systems, signal processing, artificial intelligence hardware, system-on-chip (SoC) design, communication systems and intelligent electronic systems. Through technical lectures, Distinguished Lecturer Programs (DLPs), industry forums, workshops, seasonal schools, conferences and student competitions, the Chapter provides opportunities for professional development, technical learning, and collaborative research.

The IEEE CASS Madras Chapter places strong emphasis on student engagement and leadership development by supporting IEEE Student Branch Chapters across the region. It encourages student participation in research, innovation challenges, design contests, technical symposiums and entrepreneurship-related activities. The Chapter also works closely with academic institutions, research organizations and industries to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

In alignment with IEEE's mission of advancing technology for humanity, the Chapter regularly conducts outreach programs, STEM awareness initiatives and humanitarian technology activities that benefit students, educators, and society. By fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and technical excellence, the IEEE CASS Madras Chapter continues to play a significant role in strengthening the circuits and systems community across Tamil Nadu and the broader IEEE region.
